DSH Permanent Diversion Service Contract funds may be realigned from one line item to another within a given fiscal year, provided the county does not exceed the total contracted dollar amount for that fiscal year. The realignment of contract funds must be requested by the county and approved by DSH. This request may be submitted at any time and will not require a contract amendment. Staff salaries could be invoiced through the Administrative Overhead funding line item in the DSH Permanent Diversion Service Contract. If the facility is not serving 100% DSH Permanent Diversion clients, only the percentage of workload associated with the DSH Permanent Diversion clients can be invoiced through the DSH Permanent Diversion Service Contract funding. Please contact your DSH Contract Manager/Liaison with any questions regarding DSH funding. Alternative sources of funding are also permissible, such as using Medi-Cal and Mental Health Service Act funds, to use alongside or braid with the DSH Diversion contract to support the finical needs of the program.
