About the Grant
The California Department of State Hospitals (DSH) is administering the IST Infrastructure funding to increase California’s residential treatment housing capacity for individuals designated IST.
Eligible Applicants
- California counties that execute a contract with DSH for an ongoing diversion and/or community-based restoration (CBR) program
- Non-county entities with a signed Memorandum of Agreement or partnership agreement with a county
Criteria for Approved Residences
- Home-like settings
- House 6-10 Individuals
- Provide (anticipated) 18-Month Stays
- Bathroom Facilities
- Shared Living Spaces
- Bedrooms
- Outdoor Access
- Supportive Staff
- Therapeutic & Wraparound Supportive Services
